More Precious Than Silver is a company committed to a policy of fair and ethical trade with every person involved in our business – from the artisan that produces the beautiful pieces, to the Independent Consultant that sells it on to our customers.

We value the relationships that we have built up over the last 5 years with our artisans and their families.

How do we trade Fairly and Ethically?

 We pay for all the materials required to make the jewellery in advance so that the artisan doesn’t need outlay anything financially.

 We buy directly from the artisan. Bypassing the wholesaler means that the artisans receive a better and fairer price for their jewellery.

 We pay market-related prices. We do not try and get the lowest possible price for the jewellery. We pay the artisans fair prices based on the silver market price and the amount of labour involved in producing a piece

 We design the products in conjunction with the artisan. We involve the artisans in the process which then improves their quality and standards to be able to export further.

 We are helping them to grow their businesses. More Precious Than Silver is supporting them by offering them tailor-made business courses in Mexico where they are taught how to improve their business practices, promote and sell their products to their customers.

 We commit to continuity of orders. We have forged good, strong working relationships with the artisans that guarantee them continuity of production and income.

It takes an average of nine different artisans and processes to finish one piece of jewellery, from design to completion
